The League

The League is IFC's automatic league: one match per night, with no organizer. You sign your team up, an opponent is assigned to you instantly, and the match is played the same evening at 9 PM. Standings, divisions and seasons run themselves.

It is the platform's home page: the house icon in the left rail opens the league hub of your current game edition.

The League hub: weekly hero, tonight's sign-up card and the division 1 standings

The hub

  • Weekly hero: the game edition, the week number and the countdown to tonight's sign-ups.
  • Tonight: the day's event card, with the kick-off time, the sign-up deadline and the Sign up button.
  • Standings (right column): a preview of division 1, with a link to the full standings.

The ? button next to "Tonight" opens the rules guide: sign-up, instant opponent, 9 PM match, divisions and seasons.

Signing up (captain)

  1. Pick the team in the Team to sign up menu (only your teams where you are captain, on the current edition, are offered).
  2. Click Sign up before sign-ups close (8:55 PM).

Signing up triggers instant matchmaking: the league pairs you with the available team closest to you in points, across all divisions. An opponent reveal screen shows up right away.

The Contact the opponent button opens the match page and its chat directly.

Nobody in the queue?

If no team is available when you sign up, you stay in the queue: the next team to sign up will be paired with you, and a final global pairing happens at 9 PM. You can withdraw your team as long as no opponent has been assigned to you.

After the pairing

Tonight's card gives way to your match poster (both crests, VS badge) with an Enter button leading to the match page. Everything else happens there: check-in, score and chat. See The league match.

One match per team per night

Each team only plays one match per night, and the league avoids giving you an opponent you already faced in the last 30 hours.
